Until such time as we run out of either year pins we are offering a 3 pin set. One each of the standard member pin, 2007 pin and the new 2008 pin. The three piece set is priced at only $14.00 and that includes shipping to US and Canadian buyers. Buyers outside of the US and Canada will be asked to pay the actual shipping costs.

Premium Member annual renewals (subsequent memberships after the first year) are only $15.00. In appreciation for your continued support you will recieve the dated, lmited edition, annual AMC Eagle Nest pin. A new pin design will be sent to you each renewal year. Of course you will retain all other Premium Member "perks" and any new ones we might think of. If you want to recieve your pin long before your regular renewal date you may renew early and we will not change your renewal month. You will aways get 12 full months.

This pin will be sent to all members renewing their Premium Memberships and to new Premium Members beginning in October 2007. Any left over pins will be placed in the AMC Eagle Nest Store at some time during the year. Only 200 were made so when they are gone, they are gone.

Late in 2004 amceaglenest member Lorrie Keppler ("lorikay") contacted Mr. Lunn to visit with him about his brain child, the AMC Eagle. Lori found Mr. Lunn to be a quiet gentleman and instead of agreeing to a length question and answer session he did us one better and entrusted to the amceaglenest some of his personal AMC Eagle keepsakes. Mr. Lunn has allowed us to use these items as his way to assist the continuation of the amceaglenest. Although he is not a member he does visit as a guest and is amazed at the passion which still exists for the AMC Eagle. We have scanned all of the materials that were possible to scan, ending up with just over 275 megabytes of AMC Eagle history. One item we chose not to scan was a copy of his current book and another item that could not be scanned was the office sign his staff made for him. Interestingly, the sign read, "The Eagle's Nest"! In keeping with Mr. Lunn's request to use his items to support the amceaglenest we are making available a CD with the afore-mentioned historical items on it. Contained on the CD is: His 53-page illustrated draft for his AMC Eagle introductory report to the Society of Automotive Engineers; a 16-page copy of the SAE report; a multi-page full-color brochure introducing Select Drive; Mr. Lunn's draft proposing the AMC Eagle to AMC management; and approximately 175 megabytes of magazine and newspaper articles from August 1979 throughh mid 1980. All of the files are in .jpeg format with all multi-page articles and booklets also saved in .pdf. Unfortunately, many of the items available to use were photocopies made on copiers of the era -- therefore they are of only fair quality. Most have legible text but the photo quality is extremely poor. Regardless of this, there is a great deal of interesting AMC Eagle memorabilia contained on the CD and some of this information may not be available anywhere else. |
The 1982 American Motors Technical Service Manual (1,204 pages), the 1983 Supplement (150 pages) and the 1982 Eagle Owner's Manual all on 2 CD's. The TSM's covers Eagles, Concords and Spirts. Each page of the TSM was scanned (full size) separately in .jpeg format (gray scale and color) and each TSM is also supplied in .pdf book form to make printing multiple pages easier.
If you ask most members they will tell you that AMC Eagle Ownership is not complete without a factory TSM. Typically the labor savings alone, from your first repair, will save you more than your purchase price. Don't do your own work? Pages from the TSM may be helpful to assist your favorite mechanic and possibly save you uneeded labor charges.
Even if you do not have a 1982 or 1983 AMC Eagle most of the information in these TSM's will apply to any year AMC Eagle.
